WEOS Geneva to Add Ithaca Sister Station

Ithaca will soon have a new and improved way to listen to WEOS Geneva.  According to the Ithaca Journal, WEOS will soon build a full-power sister station at 90.1, under the call letters WITH.  The article says WITH will be different from WEOS' existing Ithaca simulcast on translator 88.1.

Industry trade FMQB reports Citadel Broadcasting is looking to divest itself of various properties, as a condition for its recent acquisition of ABC Radio Networks.  Citadel hasn't yet named specific markets up for sale, but the article mentions Syracuse as a possibility.  Citadel owns four stations in Syracuse: WNTQ (93Q), WAQX (95X), WLTI (Lite Rock 105.9) and WNSS-AM (ESPN Radio 1260).

Spring is upon us, but the leaves are turning here at CNYRadio.com. After much thought, I have decided to suspend regular publication of the site. The past four years have been immensely rewarding and I wish to thank the many station managers and on-air talent that have, behind the scenes, helped make this site what I hope has been a full-featured, balanced look at the Central New York radio scene.
