Regent maintains its lead in Utica

It was another good book for Regent in Utica-Rome. In numbers released last week by Arbitron, Big Frog 104 (WFRG) and Lite 98.7 (WLTW) held on to their first and second spots respectively despite a slight slip in audience share.

The debut of Clear Channel's Mix 102.5 (WUMX) as a Hot AC alternative seems to be working; the station moved up from a 3.1 to a 4.2 following its format switch from country earlier this year.

K-Rockathon, the day after

Boy Scout Troop 59 of Weedsport has, for years, cleaned up after events at the Cayuga County fairgrounds as a fundraiser for the troop. Assistant leader Bill Baker called Saturday morning's mopping up after this year's K-Rockathon "the worst we've had since 1990."

K-Rock (WKRL/WKLL) program director Scott Petibone calls the event "the smoothest festival I've ever done."
