The former WOLF and WSYR morning man is slated to host a new half-hour show weekdays at 12:30 p.m. No official launch date has been announced for the show which is still in the planning stages.
Gary, who has been co-host of WIXT's Daybreak show, will turn over his morning duties to Dave Longley beginning Monday.

Y94FM (WYYY) has juggled its schedule a bit to make room for John Tesh in the evening.
Tesh's syndicated show, which had been airing during the overnight hours since last May, can now be heard each weekday evening from 7 - midnight.
Sunny 102 (WZUN) and the Syracuse Shakespeare Festival are teaming up with thousands of area students to set a Guinness World Record on the air this Friday.
The "Shakespeare Read Along" gets underway at 8:10 with Sunny 102 morning man Big Mike and local author Bruce Coville leading the students through the reading of three Shakespeare monologues.
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) awarded 570 WSYR a Crystal Award at the group's radio luncheon held yesterday in Las Vegas.
WSYR was one of ten stations nationwide recognized for their outstanding year-round community service efforts. Jim Lerch, WSYR's program director, was on hand to accept the award.
This is the second Crystal Award for WSYR; the first was awarded to the station in 1996.

When Doug Logan announced last October that he was stepping down as sports director at WIXT TV 9, he said that he wasn't going away for good. Well, he's back.
On Friday, Time Warner Cable announced that it has hired Logan to manage its local sports channel, Time Warner Sports 26.
Logan's broadcasting resume includes 19 years as the 'Voice of the Orange' on 570 WSYR.
