Utica's Big Frog 104 does some shuffling of its on-air lineup. Bullfrog moves from morning sidekick to afternoons while Lisa Webber jumps in as Matt Herkimer's new morning show co-host as of this week. Webber (Lisa Reily), most recently on the air at 107.7 WGNA in Albany, will also handle information update duties and the Hot News from Nashville segments.

Listeners to Lite 105.9 have been hearing more songs from the likes of Josh Groban and Norah Jones over the past few weeks. According to operations manager Tom Mitchell, the adult contemporary station has "freshened its sound" by adding in current hits by familiar artists like Enrique Iglesias and Hall & Oates.

Former B104.7 program director and afternoon jock Rick "R. J." Jordan was in town this past weekend to marry his fiancee Melissa. Jordan, who moved to Portland, Maine for programming and on-air duties at WPOR a year ago, met the new Mrs. Jordan several years ago during his stay in Syracuse. The ceremony was held Saturday in Auburn.

K-Rock's recently ousted morning man isn't out to burn any bridges, opting not to go into the details of his exit from the station. Word from Galaxy's Ed Levine on the end of Scorch's nearly eight-year run is that, "We tried to work with him ..., playing more music and playing more requests, but it wasn't working out."

Syndicated radio host Delilah gets some press in this week's People magazine. Heard by over seven million listeners weekday evenings in 225 markets nationally, including Lite 105.9 in Syracuse, WARM 93.5 in Utica, and Magic 103.1 in Watertown, Delilah thanks her listeners who "bring great joy to my life."

Our friends over at CNYMedia.com unveiled a new look this past week. The web site, which provides listings for radio and television stations in Central New York, has been around since 1996, and site manager Steve Medicis felt it was time for a new interface with better navigation. In Arbitron monthly trend numbers released yesterday, Oldies 92.1 picked up 1.3 ratings points to bring them into a tie with 570 WSYR for fifth place in 12+ overall numbers. WSYR slipped 1.2 points. K-Rock also showed improvement with a 0.8 ratings point increase. Monthly trends are not necessarily an indicator of quarterly ratings results which are due out October 23. Pat Kelly, afternoon drive guy at Utica's 107 WRCK, is packing his bags and heading down the Thruway to Albany for new digs at the Galaxy group of stations there. Kelly takes over the afternoon drive slot on WRCZ FM as well as production director duties for all of the stations in the Albany cluster.

The web site dedicated to the history of one of the early AM radio stations in Syracuse has added some more images from the past. Look for new photos of Rick Ryder as well as tribute pages to the legendary Dick Clark and Bud Ballou who all spent time at WOLF 1490 AM.
