Man Dies After Attending K-Rockathon

An Oneida County man has died after attending the K-Rockathon earlier this month, according to the Utica Observer-Dispatch.  The paper says James M. Cieri of Westmoreland, 20, suffered a skull fracture, which was discovered after he complained of a headache on the way home from the concert in Weedsport.

Syracuse's annual "Chick-N-Wing" festival at the Inner Harbor will be capped off by a special all-day concert called "Soundcheck Live," commemorating Dave Frisina's 30 years in radio and just about as long, his show "Soundcheck," which features local musicians.

K-Rockathon XIII was held this past weekend at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds in Weedsport.  Reporter Gavin Strube of the Auburn Citizen reported the event was sold out at 12,000+ and everything went smoothly, despite a handful of people being ejected from the premises for starting fights.
