SYRACUSE -- It used to be unheard of, but it's now happened at least three times within the past year -- iHeart Media's country-formatted B104.7 (WBBS) was not ranked #1 in the latest Nielsen ratings. The once-dominant station, which is now almost completely devoid of locally-based DJs, fell to second place among those stations to […]
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- The mystery is over as to when Clear Channel's Y94 (WYYY Syracuse) and Townsquare Media's Lite 98.7 (WLZW Utica) would trade-in their usual adult contemporary formats to go all-Christmas. Both stations made the switch on Friday afternoon.

SYRACUSE -- After years of going "all-Christmas" on November 1, classic hits Sunny 102.1 (WZUN) is pushing back the start of its annual flip to holiday mode until mid-November. SYRACUSE -- For the past several years, Central New Yorkers have come to expect all-Christmas music to hit the radio on November 1. This year, a new record -- as of late Saturday night, October 5 -- there are two FM frequencies where you can hear holiday hits around the clock. "Holly-FM" is up and […]

In addition to the competitors, there will be a car show and a performance from national country music duo Walker McGuire.
