SYRACUSE -- Radio versus TV... who will win? You can see for yourself tonight when local broadcasting personalities from CNYCentral (WSTM/WTVH) television take on colleagues from Galaxy Communications radio. They'll be playing basketball to raise money for Golisano Children's Hospital and for a local school teacher who's battling Lou Gehrig's Disease.
SYRACUSE -- Governor Andrew Cuomo will present his very first state budget today at 1:00pm, and various local media outlets are offering live coverage. We have a rundown of outlets who have stated they'll be carrying Cuomo's address live today.
SYRACUSE -- Anyone who works inside TV knows "enhanced widescreen" isn't the same thing as true high-definition, but the folks at CNY Central (the trio comprised of WSTM, WTVH and WSTQ-LP) are still hoping their new "enhanced widescreen" newscasts, debuting today, will turn some heads. NEW YORK CITY -- Local fans of former WSTM anchor/reporter Jeff Glor will have more chances to see him on TV starting in 2011. The current Saturday anchor of the CBS Evening News will take over the news desk at the CBS Early Show.

SYRACUSE -- One of the biggest syndicated lineup changes in Syracuse TV already took place last month, when Channel 5 (WTVH-DT) managed to snatch Live! with Regis and Kelly away from Channel 9 (WSYR-DT). But a few more changes are set to take place, specifically during the 7pm "access hour."

SYRACUSE -- According to the Syracuse Press Club, the 10pm newscast on CW6 (WSTQ-LP) will expand from 30 minutes to a full hour starting tonight. SPC says Lisa Spitz will join Matt Mulcahy as producer and co-anchor.
SYRACUSE -- If you happen to catch Mike Cauchon from 93Q (WNTQ) looking a little tired this week, give the guy a break (and perhaps a cup of coffee). In addition to his usual night show on the Citadel CHR station, he's pulling double duty with morning television traffic reports all week.
