SYRACUSE -- Alan Furst, who once oversaw programming at Y94 (WYYY), 570 WSYR and B104.7 (WBBS) when the Clear Channel stations were owned by NewCity Communications, is on the move once again. After nearly three years in Indianapolis, Furst has lined up a new programming gig in Houston.

NEW YORK CITY -- Syracuse University graduate and former Hot 107.9 on-air personality Ralphie Aversa is headed for the Big Apple. Starting Monday, he'll be the new night host on the legendary 95.5 WPLJ. "The Ralphie Show" will continue to be heard on Cumulus-owned stations in other markets in three other states.
SYRACUSE -- News/Talk 106.9 and 570 program director Jason Furst is headed south. Not careerwise, but geographically -- to program Charlotte, North Carolina's WBT-AM and FM simulcast.
TULSA, OK -- More proof that broadcasting is a small world: two former Clear Channel Syracuse personalities have, by coincidence, started new radio jobs this year (though with different companies) in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
SYRACUSE -- Unless you've got access to the full Arbitron Spring 2012 ratings report for Syracuse, it can be difficult to tell where the area's radio stations stacked up against each other. The numbers released to the public today include only 8 of the market's more than 30 stations.
SYRACUSE -- From the "better late than never" file, former Clear Channel digital marketing director Julie MacConnell has a new job. While she's no longer working in broadcasting, it appears her new role will keep her in regular contact with local media outlets.
SYRACUSE -- After many years with Clear Channel rhythmic CHR Hot 107.9 (WWHT), Marty "the One Man Party" has a new radio home. This past weekend, he made his debut on crosstown competitor 93Q (WNTQ). His addition to the weekend/fill-in roster comes on top of working in the sales department for the Cumulus Media.
SYRACUSE -- If you're familiar with HTML, Photoshop, web design and video editing, there could be a job for you at Clear Channel's Syracuse cluster. They're advertising an opening for a Digital Content Director to oversee the cluster's station websites.
SYRACUSE -- There's a change coming to the Saturday night lineup at Clear Channel's Hot 107.9 (WWHT). A Philadelphia-based voicetracker is being replaced by a live program... syndicated from Philadelphia. Saturday Night Online Live, distributed by SupeRadio, claims to be "the first uniquely interactive radio show."
