The cluster includes the market's perennial ratings leaders, country Big Frog 104 (WFRG) and adult contemporary Lite 98.7 (WLZW), along with Oldiez 96.1 (WODZ) and news/talker 950 WIBX.
As for Storm, he has accepted an offer to become the Creative Director at MPW Marketing in nearby Clinton. He's been with the radio cluster -- previously owned by Regent, Forever before that -- for nearly 16 years. The only exception was a short time when Storm was attending grad school in Albany, but he continued to work for the company there.
Storm -- recently named Person of the Year by the Mohawk Valley Ad Club -- tells CNYRadio.com, "I am honored to have worked for such an outstanding group. It has been a pleasure to make great radio with the amazing people here at Townsquare Media of Utica-Rome, and I am grateful for the professional development opportunities I've had here."
Your editor can personally say the feeling is mutual -- it's been a pleasure to work with, and learn from, Storm during my own time at the same radio cluster.
