UTICA/ROME -- After roughly two months of "filling in" as the morning host on Oldiez 96.1 (WODZ), Davey Jones has been named the station's permanent morning host and brand manager. Station owner Townsquare Media announced the promotion late last week. Jones has worked in various capacities within the four-station cluster since late 2009.

JOHNSVILLE -- Even though the FCC had previously made it clear that it's decision stands regarding the cancelled construction permit for a new AM station just east of the border between the Utica-Rome and Albany-Schenectady-Troy radio markets, the would-be owner of the station is asking for another chance from the FCC.
