Updated 10:50pm -- SYRACUSE -- No confirmation directly from management, but CNYTVNews.com has obtained a copy of an email memo stating reporter Jennifer Lewke has resigned from ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV). Earlier today, Lewke's photo disappeared from the talent list on the station's website.
SYRACUSE -- One of the biggest, most prominent fundraisers for public broadcaster WCNY was notably absent in April. TelAuc, the station's annual televised auction, usually happens during April. Fans may have noticed this year, April came and went... no TelAuc. But fans need not worry: the station simply decided to postpone the auction until June.
UTICA/ROME -- Whitesboro native Vic Carucci, who hosts weekly shows on SiriusXM's NFL Radio channel and contributes to the Buffalo Bills Radio Network, is being inducted to the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame. The Utica Observer-Dispatch has details on Carucci's career, back to his beginnings as a sportswriter for the Utica Daily Press. The induction ceremony will take place June 5 at the Radisson in downtown Utica.

Among other requirements, the announcement requires candidates have at least five years of news management experience.
COLUMBIA, MD -- While radio ratings in the nation's largest markets have been reliant on Portable People Meters (PPMs) for quite some time now, the numbers in many markets -- including Syracuse and Utica -- are still calculated "the old-fashioned way," with ratings diaries. But yesterday, Arbitron gave it's first public preview of "Project Leapfrog," the ratings giant's plans to modernize ratings data collection in non-PPM markets.
