SYRACUSE -- It's a pretty common occurrence for The Sean Hannity Show to get pre-empted on WSYR, but usually it's because the Clear Channel news/talker is carrying live coverage of Yankees baseball.  Tonight, the first hour of Hannity was bumped for a full hour of news --  hosted by former 93Q personality "Big" Jim Donovan.

UTICA/ROME -- Many of the songs featured on "Beautiful Music" (WUTQ/WADR) may have been big hits when AM Radio was the only choice, but fans of the format don't have to keep listening on AM anymore. Roser Communications Network has turned the simulcast into a trimulcast, with the addition of a new FM translator.

The "original" CNYRadio.com published hundreds of articles from 2001-2005, but only a small portion of those older articles have been republished here on the "new" site since we relaunched in 2008.  Republishing each article on my own has been a dauting task. That's why I'm looking for readers who may be able to help out.  With several of us working, we can get the archives completely republished much sooner than I'd be able on my own. And you don't need to be a computer "whiz" to help out!

SYRACUSE -- A lingering question for Syracuse Crunch fans has been answered: the AHL team has named its new play-by-play announcer.  He's Jason Lockhart, a 27-year-old who previously called games in the ECHL, and worked three seasons before that with the NHL's New York Islanders.

SYRACUSE/UTICA-ROME -- Galaxy's trio of K-Rock stations (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) are jumping on the Apple bandwagon with a new K-Rockathon 15 App available for the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad.  The app is free and downloadable as of today.

SYRACUSE -- There are no more free concerts at the Inner Harbor on Thursday nights, but the venue is just as busy with new promoters hosting a similar event on a new night -- it's called "Wednesdays on the Water."  As evidenced by this week's POTW, the crowds are just as impressive.

OSWEGO -- After four years as an award-winning reporter/producer in the WRVO newsroom, Jasmyn Belcher is packing up and moving to New York City. She's accepted a position as an Associate Producer at StoryCorps, an oral history project that produces interviews heard nationwide on NPR's Morning Edition.

UTICA-ROME -- Newsradio 950 WIBX has a full-time opening for a news anchor/reporter.   The full job posting submitted from Townsquare Media Operations Manager Bill McAdams reads as follows:
