K-Rockathon, the day after

Boy Scout Troop 59 of Weedsport has, for years, cleaned up after events at the Cayuga County fairgrounds as a fundraiser for the troop. Assistant leader Bill Baker called Saturday morning's mopping up after this year's K-Rockathon "the worst we've had since 1990."

K-Rock (WKRL/WKLL) program director Scott Petibone calls the event "the smoothest festival I've ever done."

WOLF staff to reunite next month

It's been 64 years since WOLF turned on its 100-watt transmitter for the first time. The station is now a Radio Disney affiliate, but in its early years, the Syracuse AM facility was the training ground for some big names in broadcasting, including Dick Clark and Marv Albert.

Next month, several WOLF alumni are planning a get-together in Syracuse. The reunion includes a three-hour on-air flashback of sorts on Saturday August 7th.
