SYRACUSE -- For the second time in a week, Sunny 102.1 (WZUN) morning man "Big Mike" Fiss has had the pleasure of debuting a new twist on a classic hit. This time, he has teamed up with Dennis Brogan -- or as he's more popularly known among fans -- The Dome Ranger. In case you haven't heard the new song on Sunny 102, we've got the audio here as well.
Updated 4/5 -- ATLANTA -- For the first time since 2003, the Syracuse University men's basketball team has reached the Final Four of the NCAA tournament. Several local radio and TV stations have dispatched crews to Atlanta to cover the team's next game on Saturday... and hopefully they'll have a reason to stick around for the championship game on Monday.
SYRACUSE -- Local radio traffic anchor Kathy Denman is being honored today for helping set the theme for this year's New York State Fair. Officials at the Fair announced her idea, "Sharing the Bounty and Pride of NY," was the winner in a recent online poll among fairgoers.
SYRACUSE -- It's a busy week at Classic Hits Sunny 102.1 (WZUN). The Galaxy-owned station is the newest affiliate of syndicated host John Tesh, airing seven nights a week. And the station becomes at least the third in the market to roll out its own "Orange version" of a popular song, to help cheer on the SU men's basketball team as they make their way through the NCAA tournament.

SYRACUSE -- When WCNY-TV's TelAuc hits the air in April, it'll be the very first time the annual fundraiser originates from WCNY's new facilities on Syracuse's Near Westside. That's according to a press release which appeared on WCNY's website.

It's definitely a notable break from the many years fans could hear the hometown team on traditional broadcast radio.
