SYRACUSE -- The show that prefers to call itself "The Show" wasn't allowed to be "The Show" for the past 90 days. But today, the expiration of a legal injunction allowed the morning crew at K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) to regain its identity as "The Show."

Today, CNYRadio.com marks its 12th anniversary. Scott Jameson launched the site on March 1, 2001. Back then, the site focused exclusively on the Syracuse radio scene. Today, the site covers radio happenings in three markets, and local television news in two of those markets.
ENCINO, CA -- For at least the sixth year in a row, Syracuse's B104.7 (WBBS) appeared on the nominee list for the Academy of Country Music Awards. And for at least the sixth year in a row, the judges chose to go with other nominees. But for the market's other country station, there's some good news.
BALTIMORE, MD -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, the owner of Syracuse's Fox 68 (WSYT) is buying NBC3 (WSTM-TV) and CW6 (WSTQ-LP), as part of a $370 million deal that involves a total of 24 stations in 15 markets. To satisfy FCC ownership limits, Sinclair plans to sell WSYT.
NEW YORK CITY -- Many Central New Yorkers know the Today show's Al Roker got his start at WTVH, while attending classes at SUNY Oswego. But did you know he's got "the C-word" to thank, in part, for boosting his career? Yep, that C-word, the one you can't say on TV. One night, somebody else did -- and the rest is history.
SYRACUSE -- The Mars Hill Network, which feeds religious programming to more than 20 stations across the state from its Syracuse headquarters, is seeking financial support. The network, based at 102.9 WMHR, will be taking pledges during a three-day on-air "Careathon" next month.
SYRACUSE -- Every year, only 50 radio stations are selected as finalists for the National Association of Broadcasters' Crystal Radio Awards. This year, Syracuse news/talker WSYR is one of just three stations in New York State to make the list.
