Court Allows KROCK Hosts to Stay On-Air, But With Conditions

Updated 6:00pm -- SYRACUSE -- Josh Grosvent and Hunter Scott will be allowed to continue hosting mornings for KROCK stations in the Syracuse (WKRL/WKRH) and Utica-Rome (WKLL) markets. But a state judge says the pair cannot refer to their program as "The Show" anymore. The judge also set forth some other conditions, after discussing the case with lawyers representing KROCK parent Galaxy Communications and Cumulus Media, the owner of the pair's former station, 95X (WAQX).

"The Show" Hosts: Cumulus is Taking Us to Court

SYRACUSE -- Hunter Scott and Josh Grosvent, hosts of "The Show," say they're being sued by 95X (WAQX) owner Cumulus Media, over their recent move to crosstown competitor KROCK (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL), owned by Galaxy Communications.  According to their Facebook and Twitter accounts, the pair have been served legal papers mandating their appearance in court on Monday.

POTW: Former WCIZ Staffers Gather in Memoriam (2012)

WATERTOWN -- Personalities who once hosted on WCIZ (when it used to be at 97.5FM) gathered earlier this month to say goodbye to a colleague whose life was cut short in a car accident.  "Mega" Matt Brenon, 47, died on October 3 after police say his van went off the road and struck a tree in the Town of Montague.  Colleagues from Watertown, Syracuse and as far as New Jersey reminisced after attending services for Brenon.

Savage Returns to WSYR Lineup Tonight

SYRACUSE -- Nearly a month after Dr. Michael Savage suddenly disappeared from radio stations across the country, the California-based host returns to the airwaves tonight.  Although his new syndication deal was announced last week, it wasn't until late this afternoon that Clear Channel's WSYR announced they would be restoring Savage to the lineup, effective with tonight's premiere.  But things aren't exactly as they once were; Savage's return results in the elimination of WSYR's 6pm local news hour.

Cease and Desist Letter Delays KROCK Debut of Ex-95X Hosts
