Rather than hosting the afternoon drive gabfest from the East Syracuse studios of NewsChannel 9, hosts Chris McManus and Steve Infanti are hitting the road to host the show from the ESPN mothership in Bristol, Connecticut.

SYRACUSE -- Two multi-media journalists are leaving CNY Central within the near future. Multi-media journalists Caitlin Nuclo and Chris McGrath have also served as producers and anchors during their time at the combined facilities of NBC3 (WSTM), CBS5 (WTVH) and CW6 (WSTQ-LP).
SYRACUSE -- Cumulus Media CHR 93Q (WNTQ) announced it's adding two more performers to the lineup for its "Summer Jam on the Island" concert next month. 93Q's Rick Roberts says Universal Records artist Kevin Rudolf, who played Summer Jam in 2009, and Epic Records artist Karmin, have signed on for the concert.
SYRACUSE -- Hoping to help journalists who may be new to the area or new to the business in general, the Syracuse Press Club is launching a series of Young Professionals networking events. The meetings will be geared towards journalists from 21 to 35 years old, and will be open to any employee of any media outlet in the Syracuse Press Club's 21-county service area.
Updated 5/14 -- AUBURN -- New radio station 88.7 WTMI/Fleming has met the required FCC deadlines to commence broadcasting and to file the necessary paperwork to have its construction permit upgraded to a permanent broadcast license. Today, the FCC website was updated to show that WTMI's applications for program test authority and license to cover were both filed on-deadline last week and "accepted for filing" today.
UTICA -- Longtime fans of local professional sports in Utica might remember names like Mike Kalinowski and Tim Roye. Kalinowski used to call Mohawk Valley Prowlers hockey games on the former WRUN 1150. Even earlier, Roye hosted SportsWatch on WIBX and handled play-by-play for the long-gone Utica Blue Sox during baseball season. Today, they're both working for major league teams.
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- It's a new "first" for the long-running Blue Moon Café on Galaxy stations TK99/105 (WTKW/WTKV) in the Syracuse market and 96.9 WOUR in the Utica-Rome market. On Sunday's show, Mimi Griswold announced Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers will headline the very first "Blue Moon Afternoon" concert, taking place at Jamesville Beach in July.
UTICA/ROME -- After roughly two months of "filling in" as the morning host on Oldiez 96.1 (WODZ), Davey Jones has been named the station's permanent morning host and brand manager. Station owner Townsquare Media announced the promotion late last week. Jones has worked in various capacities within the four-station cluster since late 2009.
UTICA-ROME -- What do you think of Mark Piersma's new fashions? The co-host of 100.7 WUTQ's daily Talk of the Town posed for a few humorous shots while attending the annual Red Hat Luncheon, which serves as a major fundraiser for a local senior citizen center.
