New Station WTMI Appears to Meet Construction Deadline

Updated 5/14 -- AUBURN -- New radio station 88.7 WTMI/Fleming has met the required FCC deadlines to commence broadcasting and to file the necessary paperwork to have its construction permit upgraded to a permanent broadcast license.  Today, the FCC website was updated to show that WTMI's applications for program test authority and license to cover were both filed on-deadline last week and "accepted for filing" today.

Where Are They Now: Two Former Utica Sportscasters

UTICA -- Longtime fans of local professional sports in Utica might remember names like Mike Kalinowski and Tim Roye.  Kalinowski used to call Mohawk Valley Prowlers hockey games on the former WRUN 1150.  Even earlier, Roye hosted SportsWatch on WIBX and handled play-by-play for the long-gone Utica Blue Sox during baseball season.  Today, they're both working for major league teams.

Bruce Hornsby to Headline "Blue Moon Afternoon" in July

She comes from the MyNetwork TV affiliate in Baltimore -- the same market (but not the same station) where former WKTV morning co-anchor Megan Koskovich accepted a producing job in March.
