CNYRadio.com

Readers, just wanted to provide an update about some recent developments here at CNYRadio.com and CNYTVNews.com.  These updates may or may not necessarily matter to you, but in the interest of full disclosure, I wanted to throw together a brief summary.

SYRACUSE — It was exactly eleven years ago today that CNYRadio.com posted its very first story.  This year’s celebration is pretty low-key compared to the multi-day series of special features offered for the 10th anniversary last year, but I still wanted to take the opportunity to mark the occasion.

SYRACUSE — There are a few minor changes you may have noticed here at CNYRadio.com and CNYTVNews.com. We’ve finally caught up on some housecleaning we’ve been meaning to do for quite some time.

Every year, we put together various “year in review” stories.  This year, we’d like to try adding something new — but we need your input.

We’re pleased to announce (thanks to a tip from @cnyradio Twitter follower @pwdunn) that CNYRadio.com now has a special “mobile version” which should appear automatically when you view the site from a smartphone or tablet.  We realize it isn’t a “new” concept, but we had good reason for waiting this long.

SYRACUSE — Top journalists from Syracuse and surrounding markets gathered for the Syracuse Press Club’s 33rd annual Scholarship and Professional Recognition Awards Dinner last night at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse.  Public stations WRVO and WAER dominated the radio categories, while there were plenty of ties for winners in the television categories.

Three weeks ago, nearly all of the “lost archives” from the original CNYRadio.com (2001-2005) were finally republished here.  Today, we’re proud to announce all of the original site’s Picture of the Week images are now once again available for your viewing pleasure.

SYRACUSE — The winners for this year’s Syracuse Press Club awards have been announced.  On the radio side, public broadcasters led the pack.  In TV, it’s a neck-and-neck race between WSYR-TV and WSTM-TV.  And we’re also very happy to report CNYRadio.com appears on the award list as well.
