ITHACA/CORTLAND -- A new FM translator is making it easier for sports talk fans to find ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE), especially at night. The station is now simulcasting on 107.1 FM (W296CP), after clearing up some unexpected complications that delayed the "official" FM launch by a few months.

ITHACA -- ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE) has an opening for an operations manager and program director. The position also includes some on-air responsibilities, including some play-by-play of local sports, and hosting the station's hour-long "Between the Lines" show every weekday afternoon. SYRACUSE -- Basketball expert Seth Davis of Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports thinks 13-seed Montana will upset 4-seed Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Local morning radio hosts Gomez and Dave are hoping Davis is wrong -- they'll be "out in the cold," so to speak, if Syracuse loses tonight.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- There will be plenty of radio options for football fans in Ithaca this fall. Saga rocker I-100 (WIII) announced today it has inked a deal to carry New York Giants games this season. Less than a month earlier, the cluster revealed sister station Progressive Talk 1470 WNYY will carry Buffalo Bills games.
