Updated throughout on 10/21 -- ALBANY -- Longtime Albany radio personality Joseph Motto -- better known as "Boom Boom Brannigan" -- has died. Before working in Albany radio between 1961 and 2004, the Utica native got his start at WTLB, where he used his real name on-air.

OSWEGO -- For more than 40 years, Robert H. Chetney spent part of his Sundays hosting the Irish-American Hour on WSGO. Chetney passed away earlier this month at the age of 83.

WATERTOWN -- The Z93 (WCIZ) show that brings listeners back in time -- for both local and musical history -- (hence the name Z93wind) will be celebrating it's 200th show this weekend.
SYRACUSE -- Two CMA nominations announced in September for Clear Channel country station B104.7 (WBBS) did not materialize into awards. Winners in the broadcast categories were announced yesterday, and B104.7 wasn't on the list.
SYRACUSE -- Fans of A Prairie Home Companion, the NPR program that was the basis for a 2006 film of the same name, will be able to watch a live broadcast of the show, in high-definition on the big screen, at two local movie theaters later this month.
