UTICA-ROME -- A big score for Bill Keeler and his morning show on 92.7 The Drive (WXUR). Keeler scored an interview with Joslyn James, the alleged mistress of golf pro Tiger Woods. Celebrity news website TMZ.com was so impressed with the interview, they posted some audio on their website. The interview will air on Keeler's show at 7:30am Friday.

OSWEGO -- You've already read here how WRVO General Manager John Krauss has announced plans to retire at the end of this month, wrapping up more than four decades of work at the NPR affiliate on the SUNY Oswego campus. Today, Krauss is profiled in the Syracuse Post-Standard.
SYRACUSE -- Sunny 102 (WZUN) morning man "Big Mike" Fiss and NPR's Scott Simon recently shared some of their experiences in broadcasting and journalism with students at F-M's Eagle Hill Middle School. Specifically, Simon spoke about the way technology -- specifically social media -- has impacted journalism.
SYRACUSE -- Today was Alex Silverman's last day at Newsradio 570 WSYR. After two years as an anchor and reporter for the Clear Channel station, Silverman is making a 70-market jump and a 2,700-mile drive west to Seattle.
SYRACUSE -- They've been nominated time and time again for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, but still no prize for B104.7 (WBBS) morning co-hosts Tom Owens and Becky Palmer. Meantime, New Country WOLF 105.1 night host Cody Alan is named "Personality of the Year" on the national level.

The market's perennial ratings leader is now available in HD, and its subchannels are helping to improve the coverage of its two AM sister stations in the Cayuga Radio Group cluster.
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- The trio of Modern Rock KRock stations (WKRL North Syracuse/WKRH Minetto/WKLL Frankfort) is giving listeners direct control over the songs played on the stations every Saturday night. It's all made possible by an online voting system launched last summer by Triton Media.
UTICA/ROME -- The Mars Hill Network, flagshipped by Syracuse's WMHR, is a big step closer to adding another full-strength FM signal to its collection. The FCC has approved a construction permit (CP) for the new signal in Herkimer County.
