OSWEGO -- Nearly 3 months after longtime News Director Chris Ulanowski exited WRVO, the NPR affiliate now has a job opening for a position that appears to be his replacement, but -- at least in title -- it isn't quite the same job. Rather than seeking a News Director, the station has announced the search for a "Senior News Reporter/Producer."

SYRACUSE -- Starting next week, fans attending Syracuse University basketball games will hear the voice of Galaxy Communications VP/Programming Mimi Griswold over the public address system. The announcement makes her the first woman to become a permanent PA announcer in the Carrier Dome's 30-year history.

About 300 country stations nationwide -- including three in Central New York -- are hunting for new programming to fill their weekend schedules after Premiere Radio Networks cancelled the long-running "Jeff Foxworthy Countdown" today.
UTICA-ROME -- At least three people were pinkslipped from the on-air lineup at Regent's Oldiez 96 (WODZ) today... but Regent had no control over the changes. The decision was made by Citadel Media, who supplies the station's syndicated "Classic Hits" satellite feed outside of morning drive.
