ITHACA -- At a time of the year when most student-run college stations are running on a skeleton crew and/or automation, students at Ithaca College's WICB are working as hard as ever, helping to raise record-breaking amounts of money for local charity.

UTICA-ROME -- Arjuna Broadcasting GM Mindy Barstein says format and scheduling changes are now complete at 92.7 The Drive (WXUR).  The station's website is now officially open, and there's an update on the station's upcoming power increase.

Former WSYR/WYYY/WBBS Chief Engineer Conrad Trautmann has a new job title. National trades are reporting Trautmann has been named Executive Vice President of Technology at Dial Global/Triton Radio Networks.

UTICA-ROME -- There are a handful of personalities in the Utica-Rome market who've been around for a long time.  But which one has enjoyed the longest run at just one station for their entire career?  It's none other than WOUR's Genesee Joe.

GENEVA -- After seeing Tuesday's article about the mug contest at fellow NPR affiliate WRVO, General Manager Aaron Read at WEOS writes to tell us his station's also been asking for listeners to lend their creativity to a similar project for a little over a week now.  And he says WEOS has some other big events in the works.

GENEVA -- Tower work on the campus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges could force WEOS' translator on 90.3 FM (W212BA) to shut down for awhile on Friday.  The station's primary signal at 89.7FM and all other frequencies will not be impacted.

SYRACUSE -- Look for a new imaging voice on Classic Hits 92.1 (WSEN).  The station is one of three new clients of V/O talent Rachel Logan of the Imaging Chop Shop, according to AllAccess.com.

SYRACUSE -- It's been a big week for Brent Axe: a day after announcing he's joining the Buffalo Bills Radio Network's broadcast team this fall, he revealed his weekday show "On the Block" on ESPN Radio 1260 (WNSS) will be simulcast on television starting next week.

OSWEGO -- The WRVO Stations are calling on listeners with some artistic talent to help celebrate their 40th anniversary. They're accepting designs for a special edition coffee mug which will be made available this fall.

PORTLAND, OR -- The husband and wife team of Pete Michaels and Brenda Bissett have worked at plenty of stations in their career, including Syracuse's Y94FM (WYYY).  Where are they now?  Looks like they're hoping to get themselves on many more stations -- at the same time.
