SYRACUSE -- Later this month, Classic FM (WCNY) airs a special edition of Bluegrass Ramble in honor of the show's 36th anniversary. And you're invited to attend the show's taping tomorrow -- free admission, and no reservations required.

WATERTOWN MARKET -- It's slim pickins when it comes to finding new pictures on radio station websites in the North Country... but it's been so long since we had a Watertown picture, we hunted and hunted (and missed our POTW deadline by nearly 4 hours) but we finally got one.

SYRACUSE -- Bruce Paulsen won't be wearing all the hats of the recently-retired Don Dolloff at Classic FM (WCNY), but he's the station's new afternoon drive host.  The Syracuse Post-Standard profiled Paulsen in Thursday's paper -- read it here.

SYRACUSE -- Citadel rocker 95X (WAQX) has added the syndicated Loveline show to its lineup, Sunday through Thursday evenings.

NEW YORK -- Arbitron will pay over $500,000 and change the way it recruits survey respondents, to settle lawsuits concerning the use of the Portable People Meter in New York and New Jersey.

SYRACUSE -- Nearly four months after longtime WLTI morning host Dave Allen was let go, it appears Lite Rock 105.9 has a new permanent morning show team in place.  It's the syndicated Bob & Sheri show.

OSWEGO -- A little over three weeks ago, NPR announced the show "Day by Day" would end in March due to budget cuts, but local affiliate WRVO isn't waiting -- today was the final day for "Day by Day" on WRVO's primary lineup.

UTICA-ROME -- It's been awhile since we had a Picture of the Week from Big Frog 104 (WFRG), so we'll kick off the new year with a snapshot from the country station's recent food drive.

CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Even though 2008 had its slow times, this was a remarkably busy year for the return of CNYRadio.com.  As we prepare to clink our champagne glasses and watch WRUN/WOLF alum Dick Clark ring in 2009, we'll take a look back at the major happenings from the year that was 2008.

UTICA-ROME -- Dick Bartley will be ending his long run as host of syndicated fare including "American Gold" and  "Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits" as of the end of March 2009.  The latter of the two programs airs locally on Oldiez 96 (WODZ).
