Students at Utica College's WPNR are learning a lesson they'll probably never forget: the importance of maintaining a complete and up-to-date Public File for the FCC.

It's been awhile since we ran down monthly stats, but we've been meaning to get back into the habit.  Here's a look at the most-viewed posts, top searches and other stats from a very busy month for CNYRadio.com.

ITHACA - This fall's launch of Z95.5 (WFIZ) turned plenty of heads, mostly because the Ithaca market had been without a CHR station in nearly two decades.  Today, we introduce you to some of the faces that go with the voices behind the mic.

SYRACUSE - Nearly a month after Jim Tate was shown the door at WSEN, the other shoe has dropped at the Buckley Broadcasting classic hits station.  Sources tell CNYRadio.com overnight jock Spidr Murfee and several part-timers have been terminated.

UTICA-ROME - Less than a year after being hired to host mornings on Mix 102.5 (WUMX), Sammy Schreier has exited the station.  UPDATE: Program Director Ted Bradford confirms Schreier's exit.

ITHACA - Since the unfortunate passing of former PD Tommy Frank last month, there have been a number of changes on the lineup at Ithaca's Z95.5 (WFIZ).

SYRACUSE - Local fans of the quirky humor and parodies on the "Dr. Demento" are out of luck; the station is no longer carried on Galaxy's TK99/105 (WTKW/WTKV).  The reason: Demento's syndicator doesn't allow affiliates to stream the show online anymore.

SYRACUSE - Y94FM (WYYY) is the latest local station to go all-Christmas.  The station announced the switch in an e-mail sent to its listener club today.

SYRACUSE - Galaxy Communications has signed a long-term deal to continue using Eastlan's ratings service.  In a statement issued today, Galaxy CEO Ed Levine suggests stations can save jobs by choosing Eastlan.
