UTICA/ROME -- Some slight confusion between two stations on adjacent frequencies has caused Arbitron to revise its audience estimates for the Utica-Rome market. The revisions, due out Tuesday at 10:00am, are expected to result in higher numbers for adult standards B95.5/WUTQ/WADR.

WATERTOWN -- Despite the fact the numbers were recalculated after two in-tab diaries were discarded from the Fall 2009 survey period, there do not appear to be any major surprises in the latest Arbitron ratings released for the Watertown market... or in the re-issued Fall 2009 numbers.
WATERTOWN -- Arbitron today told its clients that it has disqualified two in-tab diaries from its Fall 2009 survey of the Watertown market. The ratings giant explains the diaries "were returned from a household whose participation in the survey was disclosed to a media-affiliated individual." SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- Arbitron continues to embargo the public release of ratings information for these two markets, but the competing Eastlan Ratings service is now sharing its version of the station performance story with the general public.
SYRACUSE -- Radio audience estimates for the Syracuse market are finally "official" today, after Arbitron re-issued the Fall 2009 book this morning. The ratings company had to re-issue the data after it was discovered one station was completely left out of the original results.
WATERTOWN -- The Fall 2009 ratings are out for the Watertown market, and there are no big surprises: perennial leader Froggy 97 (WFRY) and its country format continue to lead the pack. CHR "The Border" (WBDR) appears to be gaining steam, but remains a distant second.
ITHACA/CORTLAND -- Stations owned by Saga Communications hold four of the top five spots in the latest public ratings data released by Arbitron. Leading the pack, Q-Country 103.7 (WQNY), posting more than a full-point gain since last spring, going from a 13.8 to a 14.9 among persons age 12+ in the Fall 2009 survey.
