SYRACUSE -- Galaxy Communications says acclaimed blues musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd will headline next month's "Blues, Brews and BBQ" hosted by classic rocker TK99/TK105 (WTKV/WTKW). Organizers have also announced the rest of the lineup, along with ticketing information.
SYRACUSE -- Anytime you head to the supermarket over the next several weeks, check out the magazine racks and chances are good you'll see Sunny 102 (WZUN) "Big" Mike Fiss smiling at you. He's on the cover of the April/May edition of "55 Plus" magazine.
SYRACUSE -- Two more pro sports adds to the lineup at The New ESPN Radio (WTLA/WSGO). The stations, which include the two AMs and two FM translators (97.7 and 100.1) will be carrying all Boston Red Sox games this season, as well as The Masters Tournament.

SYRACUSE -- Sunny 102 (WZUN) morning man "Big Mike" Fiss and NPR's Scott Simon recently shared some of their experiences in broadcasting and journalism with students at F-M's Eagle Hill Middle School. Specifically, Simon spoke about the way technology -- specifically social media -- has impacted journalism.
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- The trio of Modern Rock KRock stations (WKRL North Syracuse/WKRH Minetto/WKLL Frankfort) is giving listeners direct control over the songs played on the stations every Saturday night. It's all made possible by an online voting system launched last summer by Triton Media.
SYRACUSE -- A number of changes first announced in December finally took place today. ESPN Radio has changed its Syracuse affiliation over from Citadel's WSKO (formerly WNSS) 1260 over to a four-station simulcast including two AMs and two FM translators owned by Galaxy.
SYRACUSE -- New call letters are in effect today for Citadel's AM 1260. According to Operations Manager Tom Mitchell, the former WNSS is now officially identified as WSKO. The new calls fit in with the station's new branding, as "The Score 1260."
