SYRACUSE -- Citing some recent events in her personal life, Mimi Griswold announced plans to retire from her duties as Vice President of Programming for Syracuse-based radio operator Galaxy Communications at the end of this year. Griswold will continue to host Blue Moon Cafe, and she'll serve as a programming consultant.
SYRACUSE -- After 20 years at WTVH and more than three years at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), Keith Kobland is making the move to a new job outside of broadcasting. Today was Kobland's final day with the ABC affiliate.
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- When the Buffalo Bills begin their pre-season schedule at home tomorrow, Central New York fans who want to follow it live will have only one option: radio. Syracuse CBS affiliate WTVH was going to air the game live, but it's been blacked-out.
SYRACUSE -- For the first time in almost 40 years, the National Football League is relaxing its TV blackout policy.
