SYRACUSE -- The morning team at MOViN 100.3/96.5 (WOLF-FM/WWLF-FM) is extending a helping hand to listeners who've been unemployed during this nasty recession -- by helping them to find jobs.

Happy re-birthday to us!  It's been exactly one year since CNYRadio.com re-launched under new management -- after the site spent nearly four years in hiatus.  We've got plenty of people to thank for our success, and to show our thanks for your help in our first year, we've got a present for you!

UTICA-ROME -- First he was a morning show host... then a TV show host... then both at the same time.  Now, Bill Keeler has a brand new venture -- and this one's no laughing matter.  He's launched a new "online newspaper" aiming to serve Utica, Rome and the Mohawk Valley.

UTICA-ROME -- After a couple weeks off due a combination of illness, lack of submissions and being overwhelmingly busy... the Picture of the Week is back!  And this week, we have Kenny the Promo Guy from Kiss-FM to thank for sending in this blast from the past from his personal collection.

SYRACUSE -- There's a brand new radio show in Syracuse... hosted by current and former on-air personalities... but you won't find it on AM radio, FM radio, or even satellite radio.  The only way to hear the unique, new format of "Walk-Up Radio" is to visit their website -- or catch a live taping of the show.

ITHACA - We apologize we're a few days late on this one.  A unique contest held last week by Saga's Ithaca/Cortland cluster: the group gave away an entire wedding, hosted in the food court at The Shops at Ithaca Mall.  More details and photos appear in the Lansing Star Online.

As you may or may not have noticed, we recently added a new section to our Links page -- links to websites operated by local (or formerly local) on-air personalities.  We just quietly started with a few links we've happened to find on our own lately, but we'd like to extend the invitation to the rest of you!

ITHACA -- A rather unfortunate week for local radio personalities continues. Two staffers at Saga rocker I-100 (WIII) are the latest casualties of the recession that has forced radio operators near and far to trim staffing levels to save money.

SYRACUSE -- 93Q and Hot 107.9 are catching the attention of the local news media, for openly asking listeners if they should consider pulling songs by Chris Brown off their playlists. The 19-year-old star hasn't been charged, but is being investigated for allegedly assaulting girlfriend and fellow star Rihanna.
