SYRACUSE -- "Big Mike" Fiss has a new but familiar co-host on the morning show at Sunny 102.1 (WZUN) this week. "After doing a great job for four years," Fiss says Melissa Midgley "decided to leave" the station. Fiss says WZUN weekend personality Cindy Humble is now serving as co-host.
ITHACA -- A Dryden man recently won$10,000 from Z95.5 (WFIZ) and Cornell University Athletics, the largest single prize awarded by any radio station in the Ithaca/Cortland market in recent memory. It was all thanks to a combination of good aim and good luck.
SYRACUSE -- Later this month, Ronnie Dark will be hosting the 200th edition of his weekly "Wax Museum" program on Love Radio 103.9 (WVOA). To help mark the milestone, there's a contest for fans who produce original artwork to help promote the show.
AUBURN -- It hasn't even had it's official "Kick-Off" yet -- that's March 24th -- but 88.7 WTMI Catholic Radio is hitting the ground running, positioning itself as the area's exclusive provider for live radio coverage of the Conclave, the upcoming election of a new Pope.
SYRACUSE -- The show that prefers to call itself "The Show" wasn't allowed to be "The Show" for the past 90 days. But today, the expiration of a legal injunction allowed the morning crew at K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) to regain its identity as "The Show."
