UTICA-ROME -- Townsquare Media Creative Services Director Geoff Storm has been named "Ad Person of the Year" by the Mohawk Valley Advertising Club. The club says Storm was selected not only for the work he does for Townsquare, but also for his volunteer efforts outside of the office.

UTICA/ROME -- It would be prohibitively expensive for a radio station to bring hundreds of listeners to Key West, so Arjuna Broadcasting's 92.7 The Drive (WXUR) brought a little bit of Key West recently to Utica.  WXUR's Jack Moran sent in a photo of the fun for our Picture of the Week.

LOS ANGELES -- Broadcast personality Dick Clark, best known for shows like American Bandstand, the game show Pyramid and the annual New Year's Rockin Eve specials on ABC, has died following a "massive heart attack" this morning in California.  Clark, who was 82, made his very first appearances on radio and television in Utica, and graduated from Syracuse University.

UTICA-ROME -- The FCC's monthly list of call sign changes has been released today, and there are several changes on the list. There are a few we were expecting (such as WRCK becoming WUTQ-FM), but also a few surprises we didn't see coming.

SYRACUSE -- Popular celtic punk band Flogging Molly will make its first-ever visit to Syracuse next month.  They're on the schedule for "Dysfunctional Family BBQ 6," hosted by K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) on May 27 at the New York State Fairgrounds.

SYRACUSE -- Michel Martin, host of NPR's weekday talk show Tell Me More, is coming to Syracuse next Wednesday. Her appearance is part of the "Leaders in Communication" series at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. The talk will be free and open to the public.

Updated 4/3 -- UTICA/ROME -- There's a new company, but a familiar voice, providing weather forecasts on WIBX 950 starting this morning. The Weather Channel is out, as the Townsquare Media station signs with a new provider called "The Storm Report."

UTICA-ROME -- Although listeners first discovered WUTQ's expansion to the 100.7FM frequncy about ten days ago, Roser Communications Network officially announced the changes Monday night.  In addition, the company says it has hired Taylor Harris to host the music hours heard middays on the four-frequency simulcast.
