Syracuse's NewsChannel 9 launches new website

SYRACUSE -- For the better part of the past decade, 9WSYR.com has been NewsChannel 9's home on the web.  But as of today, the ABC affiliate has a new address -- LocalSYR.com.  Any attempts to reach the old site automatically redirect to the new site.  We've heard through anonymous sources that the changes were handed down by channel 9's parent company, Nexstar Broadcasting.  Anchor Dan Cummings offered a "video tour" of the site on-air today, and a separate page gives a written comparison between the new site and the old.

Clear Channel names new Syracuse GM

SYRACUSE -- One longtime veteran of local radio will be replaced by another, when Clear Channel Syracuse Market Manager Joel Delmonico calls it a career at the end of the month. Report: Syracuse radio show Twitter pics could invoke NCAA violations

SYRACUSE -- Photos "tweeted" by a local sports talk radio show could lead to disciplinary action against two members of the Syracuse University football team.  It's all because the players were holding up banners displaying the names and logos of various sponsors of the "Syracuse Legends" program which airs every Friday night on ESPN Radio 97.7 and 100.1 (WTLA/WSGO).

WSYR-TV adding BounceTV on new 9.3 subchannel

Updated 11:00pm with cable/satellite info -- SYRACUSE -- The first-ever broadcast television network geared toward African-American audiences will arrive in Syracuse soon.  WSYR-TV is adding a third channel to its digital signal to make room for "Bounce TV," starting January 1.

Yankees baseball moving to TK99

SYRACUSE -- As announced moments ago on "The Gomez and Dave Show," baseball's New York Yankees are moving to TK99 and TK105 (WTKW/WTKV) next season.  The classic rock stations, simulcasting in Syracuse and Oswego, will air all 162 regular season games as part of a "multi-year" deal, taking the Bronx Bombers away from Clear Channel's NewsRadio 570 WSYR.
