You might remember back in May, when our Weekly Poll asked, "How many more format flips will we see in CNY before the end of the year?" Well, it's the end of the year... so we thought it'd be fun to compare the poll results to what actually happened since May.
SYRACUSE -- It won't be long before the recently-retired-from-TV Dave Eichorn is back on the airwaves of Central New York. The popular meteorologist will provide forecasts for Y94FM (WYYY) starting in January.
UTICA-ROME -- This was the final week on-air for afternoon jock Paulie "the Small Guy" Szmal at WOUR. And his departure means longtime night jock "Genesee Joe" gets to hit the airwaves four hours earlier.
SYRACUSE -- Newsradio 570 WSYR is now accepting applications for some part-time reporting and anchoring positions.
UTICA-ROME -- This one slid under our radar earlier this month: a familiar set of call letters is back on the air, though with a new frequency and a new location. WRUN-FM is simulcasting Northeast Public Radio programming on 90.3 from Remsen.
SYRACUSE -- Get any Christmas gifts you didn't like? Hot 107.9 (WWHT) DJ Jus Mic hopes you'll skip the exchange lines and join him in "Giving Stuff Away" to the less fortunate.

SYRACUSE -- Meteorologist Pat Pagano has been relieved of his duties for "Central New York's Morning News" on Newsradio 570 WSYR, according to published reports. Pagano had been providing morning drive weather reports on WSYR for 34 years.
SYRACUSE -- It's been almost 29 years since "Big" Mike Fiss came to Central New York to help launch 94Rock (now Y94FM)... and several years since he moved across I-690 to Sunny 102 (WZUN). This week, Fiss took time to reflect on his long career, and to share some candid thoughts about the radio business in the Syracuse New Times.
UTICA-ROME -- A little less than a month after parting ways with Sammy Schreier, Galaxy Communications is looking for a new morning show host at Hot AC-formatted Mix 102.5 (WUMX).
