ALBANY -- Several commercial, public and college broadcasters brought some hardware home from the 2022 "Excellence in Broadcasting" awards. The New York State Broadcasters' Association says the awards recognize "the outstanding work broadcasters do throughout the state of New York to keep viewers informed, engage conversation and promote local business." Here's a list of local winners:

SYRACUSE -- There are some notable changes in the newsroom roster at NBC3 (WSTM-TV), part of the CNY Central group of television stations. A reporter / weekend anchor is being promoted to full-time anchor status, and the Assistant News Director has left the building.

SYRACUSE — Following the recent exit of Tom Mitchell earlier this month after 26 years at the cluster which includes 93Q (WNTQ) and 95X (WAQX), his replacements — three of them — have been named.

SYRACUSE -- Every year, the "40 Under 40" awards honor local professionals for "their accomplishments in business and in our community." The 2022 class includes two women from the Salt City's television newsrooms.

UTICA/ROME -- Jim Rondenelli has delivered his final newscast on Newsradio 950 WIBX. In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, Rondenelli said his position was a "victim of 'restructuring'" at the Townsquare Media station, after "almost 28 years" on the job.

UTICA/ROME -- The syndicated "DeDe in the Morning" show made its debut in the Mohawk Valley this morning, according to one of the DJs at 95.5FM The Heat Phoenix Radio.

SYRACUSE -- CNY Central, the Sinclair-owned cluster that houses NBC3 (WSTM), CBS5 (WTVH) and CW6 (WSTM-DT 3.2) is looking to hire a full-time master control operator. Here's the full job posting provided to CNYTVNews.com today:
