SYRACUSE -- National recording artists Disturbed will headline K-Rock's (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) Halloween Havoc next month at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter. K-Rock program director Nixon says tickets go on sale this Saturday.
SYRACUSE -- You've no doubt heard about various concert tours postponing shows or calling them off altogether, citing lack of ticket sales (likely due to consumers getting fed up with high prices). But one local PD says, "we just want to show if you do it right, [look] what happens."
SYRACUSE -- The 15th annual K-Rockathon, hosted by Galaxy Communications trio of K-Rock stations (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) boasted a crowd of 15,000 in attendance this past Saturday. SYRACUSE -- When the band Avenged Sevenfold takes the stage during K-Rockathon 15 this Saturday, a live video feed of the performance will be streamed on at least four major websites, allowing fans worldwide to "virtually" join those in attendance at the State Fairgrounds.
SYRACUSE/UTICA-ROME -- Galaxy's trio of K-Rock stations (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) are jumping on the Apple bandwagon with a new K-Rockathon 15 App available for the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad. The app is free and downloadable as of today.

According to PD Nixon, the station has named Candace Curby the new 6-11pm personality, starting June 28th. Current night jock Tiff is exiting for other opportunities outside radio. RALEIGH, NC -- National trades are reporting a promotion for former K-Rock (WKRL/WKRH/WKLL) personality JJ Herr. Since 2007, he's been working middays at country station WQDR, and now adds Assistant PD duties at the Curtis Media Group-owned station.
