WATERTOWN -- Today, tune to 1410 AM in Watertown, and you'll hear ESPN Radio programming on WNER. But decades ago, the station was known as WOTT, and one former staffer saved some priceless tidbits from that time.
CNYRadio.com and CNYTVNews.com share a new Picture of the Week every Monday at 7:00am. We're always looking for reader submissions -- radio or TV, current events or blasts from the past. Send those shots to cnyradio@cnyradio.com.

SYRACUSE -- One last time... it's not radio, but it's been an historic week for Syracuse broadcasting. Earlier this week, WTVH (Channel 5) fired about 40 people without warning, after announcing it would be entering a shared-services agreement with WSTM (Channel 3). In this installment of the POTW, a look back at better times for […]
WATERTOWN -- Like it or not, there's no denying the success of Fox TV's American Idol, currently running in its 8th season. And as long as the show does well, so do many regional efforts that mimic the show -- including the current "North Country Idol" contest sponsored by Froggy 97 (WFRY).
UTICA-ROME -- After a couple weeks off due a combination of illness, lack of submissions and being overwhelmingly busy... the Picture of the Week is back! And this week, we have Kenny the Promo Guy from Kiss-FM to thank for sending in this blast from the past from his personal collection.
SYRACUSE -- It's been five years since Marty & Shannon were teamed up as morning hosts on Hot 107.9 (WWHT). They celebrated last weekend with a big party at the FunJunction in Cicero.
WASHINGTON -- There seem to be conflicting reports on exactly how many people went to Washington, DC to witness the inauguration of President Barack Obama on Tuesday, but we know of at least two local radio journalists who made the trip. And one even provided CNYRadio.com with his own account of how things went.
UTICA-ROME -- Instead of our usual (and often unproductive) tirade of searching station websites for new POTW candidates, we decided to try Google Image Search. It took awhile, but we finally struck gold with a reunion of WTLB staffers.
WATERTOWN MARKET -- It's slim pickins when it comes to finding new pictures on radio station websites in the North Country... but it's been so long since we had a Watertown picture, we hunted and hunted (and missed our POTW deadline by nearly 4 hours) but we finally got one.
UTICA-ROME -- It's been awhile since we had a Picture of the Week from Big Frog 104 (WFRG), so we'll kick off the new year with a snapshot from the country station's recent food drive.
SYRACUSE - Radio news reporters are often caught on-camera by local papers or TV stations when covering big stories... but this week, one WSYR radio reporter found herself in a photo published by the New York Times.
