SYRACUSE -- Country music station B104.7 (WBBS) midday host Amber Taylor has recently picked up some extra time behind the mic, as the host of a new "Sunday Night Showcase" featuring local and unsigned talent.
UTICA-ROME -- A family from the Town of Floyd says the new tower for God's Country 93.5 (WOKR) is so powerful, the audio comes through one of their TVs, even when the set is powered off. An engineering firm hired by the town says radiation levels are so high, it's dangerous anyone to be inside for more than 30 minutes a day.
SYRACUSE -- For the first time in years, you won't see 93Q (WNTQ) at this weekend's Syracuse Balloonfest. But they're OK with that -- because the Citadel CHR brought some top names to town last weekend for their very own "Summer Jam on the Island" concert last weekend, and they say it was a huge success.

AUBURN -- Finger Lakes News Radio has a part-time opening for a play-by-play announcer to cover various Auburn High School sports, starting this fall.
ONEIDA -- The sale of, as they legal ID themselves, "WMCR AM 1600 and FM 106.3 in Oneida, New York" is a done deal. After about 40 years of ownership, Vivian Warren has retired from the radio ownership game, nearly a million dollars richer.
